Because growing up isn’t always easy.

ARE YOU...

✔︎ Noticing changes in your child’s mood, sleep, or behaviour?

✔︎ Worried about anxiety, self-esteem, or social struggles?

✔︎ Unsure how to support your teen through a tough time, or how to even start the conversation?

You’re ready for guidance that actually helps, and a therapist that your child can connect with.

Booking a therapy session is an investment in your child’s future. They’ll continue to gain benefits long after our last appointment.

We offer evidence-based counselling to help kids and teens manage emotions, build coping skills, and feel more confident navigating life’s challenges.

We assist youth with various challenges, such as anxiety, depression, emotion regulation, ADHD, self-harm, family issues, and behavioural concerns.

We work closely with parents to help support their child and employ strategies that the child has learned in counselling. With older individuals, we work with parents in a manner that balances their child's right to privacy.

How It Works

Counselling doesn’t always look like sitting and talking… it might involve drawing, playing, storytelling, or laughter alongside meaningful conversations.

We start by working with you and your child to set clear goals. From there, we create a warm, non-judgmental space where your child or teen can safely explore what they’re feeling and learn new ways to manage life’s challenges. Using evidence-based approaches like CBT and ACT, we tailor each session to meet your child’s unique needs, personality, and age.

Sessions are 50 minutes long and designed to help your child build emotional skills, confidence, and resilience in a way that feels supportive, engaging, and age-appropriate.

FEE:

$260/HOUR FOR REGISTERED PSYCHOLOGIST

$190/HOUR FOR REGISTERED PSYCHOTHERAPIST

How should I explain counselling to my child before their first session?

Children need to be agreeable to participate in therapy, so it is important that they are prepared and attend willingly.

With younger children, it is sometimes helpful to describe the therapist as a type of coach, like a “feelings coach”. Using a sports analogy, children understand that to improve at a sport, they need to work with their coach to practice new skills. It is the same thing with their “feelings coach.”

The main goal is for the young child to have fun while learning new skills, and the session will involve creative elements like drawing, stories, games, and role-playing. Parents are usually invited into the last 10 minutes of the session so they can participate in the learning.

Sessions with older children and teens usually involve more talking, but may also involve age-appropriate creative elements if the child wishes.

Attend a parent intake session by phone or video:

You’ll meet with a member of our team to share your child’s early history, any current concerns you may have, and identify specific goals. This step may not be necessary for older teens who can accurately share their history.

THREE

Your child attends the counselling sessions:

This may occur virtually or in person. The first session involves discussing goals and setting the plan in motion.
